And this makes a total of 31 states not allowing gay marriage.

Now, had the vote been 89% against it I might not be as pissed (okay, yeah I would but for a different reason). But it's less than 53%. That means a SIGNIFICANT MINORITY, just BARELY UNDER the majority of people will/can have their rights dictated to them by others.

So, you know what? I want a Stoopid People Referendum, where only the smartest 51% of the US population (intelligence levels as decided by me, of course) gets to decide whether the other 49% will be allowed to procreate. I don't want any more idiots diluting to the gene pool.

I just...arg. Nevermind.

No, make that two.

While making breakfast this morning I made the Sig keep his laptop open to take notes for me so that I wouldn't forget any possible scenarios for my Nano Novel as I thought of them.

Then the kid wanted to "play" so he's got his running, too. Kinda helpful since that one is near the bathroom and I can just call out words for him.

Inspiration comes at the oddest times, ya know?

So, I need the names of some MAJOR "Gods." Any religion, past or present.

Srsly, I thought moving OUT of an apartment and into a much nicer condo complex would mean a more tightly knit community.

So, not only was Nate's "costume" familiar (as in he's worn that particular outfit in another role)...but so were Det. Ryan's (a Doctor) and Det. Esposito's (a Marine).

See, Jon Huertas (Esposito) played "Poke" on Generation Kill, while Seamus Dever (Ryan) played Dr. Ferlinghetti on Army Wives ("Ghetti," the Doctor Denise ALMOST had an affair with) AND he played Dr. Ian Devlin on General Hospiral.

To be honest, (like Nate's) I think Esposito's costume was the original wardrobe.

ANNNNNNNNNNNNND...with those comments, I think it's official: I watch ENTIRELY too much TV.

So, no. I haven't been here in a while, and I thought some of you would like to know at least one of the reasons why:

A couple of years ago I used to babysit for one of Shane's friends, Cher. The kid's name is Roman and he is just a year and a half younger than Slade...not sure if I mentioned him or her in the posts and don't have time to look right now.

Cher was a great girl; very bubbly and happy and perky and just a lot of fun to be around. While I watched Roman (for a year), she finished graphic design school...and struggled with a very controlling ass of a husband. When she graduated, she up and moved back home (Ohio, near her parents) to start over, filing for divorce somewhere/time along the way.

Anywhooooo...at the end of April her dickhead husband ~~allegedly~~ killed her. ~~Allegedly~~ shot her right in the fucking head. And then tried to make it seem like suicide.

I just...have no words.

So, yeah. I've just been too depressed to deal with anything.

(I have however, been watching with extreme interest the OMFG so obvious HOYAY between G and Sam on NCIS: LA. Any recs? Some good smut usually helps bring me out of a funk and it HAS been almost 6 months. I'd really like to get off the meds one of these days...)
