rounds_of_kink is open for claiming!!!

Go, claim. Write.

I nabbed 3 Ronnie/Ben Make Me A Supermodel prompts, and all of them are due in the same week so that worries me a bit. Of course, I still have 3 weeks to write them, and with those boys I tend to get on a roll once I get started. So YAY! \o/

In all honesty, I wanted each and every one of them. Plus the April/Ben/Ronnie and the Ronnie/Ben/Aryn one as well. It was so hard trying to narrow it down to what I think I can truly devote my time and energy to (I still have to write my hetfic_minis piece, plus edit and post the one I wrote for aliaspiral's Slackers Remix.) I may still go back and claim a few more if it looks like no one else wants them (although I can't POSSIBLY imagine that).

Also, there were a few Reaper, German Soaps RPS, and one BSG (Lee/Sam) that I want REALLY BAD. Unfortunately, I don't think I could do them justice. Especially not the MPREG!Sam (What? If God can do it...") one, even though I have it half-written in my head.

(In the prompting post I thought I remembered seeing a Bible!Slash one, but I can't find it. If anyone notices which day it is on, please let me know. Jesus/Judas. Shut up, I know. Special Hell. I was already headed there, so I might as well have fun on the ride down.)

You tend to prefer short-term pleasures and rewards over long-term consequences. You lead a leisurely and relaxed life. You would prefer to sit back and smell the roses than indulge in high energy activities. You tend not to express your emotions openly and are sometimes not even aware of your own feelings. You are tenderhearted and compassionate, feeling the pain of others vicariously and are easily moved to pity, however you believe that a certain amount of deception in social relationships is necessary. You are guarded in new relationships and less willing to openly reveal the whole truth about yourself. You are not an overly cautious person. You will think about alternatives and consequences but make up your mind fairly quickly.

Take a Personality Test now or view the full Personality Report.

The best Buying Pet Gifts.

Good Lord, that's uncannily accurate.

Neuroticism

You are a calm person who is considered almost fearless by some. You don't usually get angry too easily but some things can annoy you. Mostly your emotions are on an even keel and you do not get depressed easily. You do not feel nervous in social situations, and have a good impression of what others think of you. You feel strong cravings and urges that you have difficulty resisting. You tend to prefer short-term pleasures and rewards over long-term consequences. High levels of stress can lead to you feeling panic or confusion, but usually you cope with day to day pressures.

Extraversion

You genuinely like other people and openly demonstrate positive feelings toward others. You make friends quickly and it is easy for you to form close, intimate relationships. You find the company of others pleasantly stimulating and rewarding, and you enjoy the excitement that crowds provide. You like to speak out, take charge, and direct the activities of others. You are usually the leader in group activites. You lead a leisurely and relaxed life. You would prefer to sit back and smell the roses than indulge in high energy activities. You enjoy some excitment and risk taking in your life. You have a generally cheerful disposition.

Openness to Experience

You are a moderately imaginative person who enjoys a good balance between the real world and fantasy. You are reasonably interested in the arts but are not totally absorbed by them. You tend not to express your emotions openly and are sometimes not even aware of your own feelings. You are eager to try new activities, travel to foreign lands, and experience different things. You find familiarity and routine boring, and will take a new route home just because it is different. As a person who is open-minded to new and unusual ideas, you love to play with and think about ideas. You also like to debate intellectual issues and often enjoy riddles, puzzles and brain teasers. Often you exhibit a readiness to challenge authority, convention, and traditional values. Sometimes you feel a certain degree of hostility toward rules and perhaps even enjoy ambiguity.

Agreeableness

You mostly assume that people are honest and fair, however you are wary and hold back from trusting people completely. You believe that a certain amount of deception in social relationships is necessary. You are guarded in new relationships and less willing to openly reveal the whole truth about yourself. You will help others if they are in need. If people ask for too much of your time you feel that they are imposing on you. You do not enjoy confrontation, but you will stand up for yourself or push your point if you feel it is important. You feel superior to those around you and sometimes tend to be seen as arrogant by other people. You are tenderhearted and compassionate, feeling the pain of others vicariously and are easily moved to pity.

Conscientiousness

You are moderately confident that you can achieve the goals you set yourself. In general you tend to be disorganized and scattered. You find contracts, rules, and regulations overly confining and are sometimes seen as unreliable or even irresponsible by others. Mostly you work towards achieving your best, although in some areas you are content just to get the job done. You find yourself procrastinating and show poor follow-through on tasks. Often you fail to complete tasks - even tasks that you want very much to complete. You are not an overly cautious person. You will think about alternatives and consequences but make up your mind fairly quickly.

*****

Seriously, I have no words for how well this whole thing describes me...

Shows on The Bubble: Chances they'll return?

Michael Ausiello (www.tvguide.com) gives his opinion of the following shows' chances for return next season/year:

Aliens in America: 3 out of 10
(Which sucks, because this is a really funny show.)

Big Shots: 0/10
(Damn, no more Michael Vartan or Dylan McDermott...or Paul Blackthorne, either. At least I can still see him on Lipstick Jungle.)

Cane: 2/10
(Damn it again! I really liked the drama and characterization for this show.)

Cashmere Mafia: 0/10
(*sigh* Oh well, there's still the BBC's Mistresses.)

Eli Stone: 7/10 (but only if it can keep its Desperate Housewives lead-in figures.)
(PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE let this be so!)

Las Vegas: 0/10 (However, the studio hasn't let ANY of the actors out of their contracts--so there is MAYBE a 2/10 chance for a movie wrap-up.)
(*crosses fingers* *and toes*)

Law & Order: Criminal Intent: 5/10
(With any luck the first runs will stay on USA so that it will keep being filmed. I love me some Detectives Gorren and <strike>Big</strike> Logan!)

Life Is Wild: 0/10
(Damn. I really enjoyed this for some odd reason. I think it had a lot to do with the family and how they handled conflict and moving and dealing with their new lives. It was--without being cheesey here--kind of inspirational. Since I don't have an adequate background to draw on, I tend to look for strong family values in shows--like, of all things, Seventh Heaven--in order to learn what I should do/how I should/shouldn't react given certain situations...and this one had real potential.)

Moonlight: 8/10
(YAY! I ♥ Vampire shows. All of them. Also, go Vamp!Fans on teaming up for charity. ML fans ran a blood drive and BT fans did an eyeglasses drive and both were highly successful!)

New Amsterdam: 6/10
(This despite relatively good ratings. No, really. It's done pretty well in the time period and with the targeted demographic. I really just don't get it. *Hates FOX* *spit*)

Reaper: 4/10
(*is sad* I love Reaper, and if it gets canceled then I think there should be lots of crossover crack-fic with SPN!)

Shark: 5/10
(It's a cop/lawyer show. OF COURSE I LIKE IT!)

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: 9/10
(OMFG it better get renewed or I swear to all that is holy I WILL FUCKING ORDER A HIT on the head of programming at FOX!! *spit*)

Women's Murder Club: 4/10
(I really enjoyed this. And it had nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with either Kyle Secor or Rob Estes. Nope. Not a thing. Nuh-uh.)

**********

Well, hell. Quite a few of my shows aren't looking so secure. But, I guess a slim chance is better than NO CHANCE.

Also, there are more shows listed at the TV Guide link; these are only the ones on the bubble that I watch and/or care about.

In case you're interested, I read a here!TV press release that says The Lair will be back this Fall!

*squeeeeeeeeeeeeee* OMG OMG OMG OMG! Is it fall yet?

(See? I TOLD YOU I REALLY LOVE Vampire shows. *big grin*)

So I created a single place where we can announce and help promote each of the campaigns from a single website to help increase the overall visibility of the show and give the fans one place to keep up on things.”

The new site includes daily updates and even a new podcast, “Bite Back – the Ties podcast”, devoted to celebrating the show and informing fans on how to save it from extinction. The site also gives fans the opportunity to show their support for the show on their personal websites with banners that can be linked back to the site.

So, to those of you on my flist who want more Blood Ties: Go. Check it out. Let our voices be heard.

As of yet there has been no DEFINITIVE cancellation--but we need to let the network (Lifetime) know we love Tanya and this series!

(Also, how much do I *LOVE* that the Firefly/Serenity podcast, The Signal, hosted a review of this show? Hee! When fandoms collide!)

Is it on yet?

This should start playing the first scene they have together...and when it's finished it ought to automatically skip to the next vid--all the way through what's happened so far. The really good stuff starts when they all go to the cabin.

Some of the clips don't have subtitles yet, but if you read the comments there might be a clue to what the characters are saying.

<lj-embed id="3" />

(I hope to snag more of you into my madness & obsession.
Dreams and Sports Night.

First off: I have GOT to stop dreaming about Christian Kane. It's nerve-wracking.

I'm vacationing somewhere in the country (like all scifi, it looks a lot like Vancouver) and visiting my family after a particularly nasty break-up. I mope about so much that I get on their nerves. They send me across the street to a party. To a house where they don't like anyone and talk bad about them incessantly (but of course I have been all emo so I didn't pay attention). Anyway, there's one of those Everyone And Their Mother kind of Christmas/Thanksgiving get-togethers (which I am more than welcome to join for some odd reason) going on. Also, they are kind of red-neck. They sit around and sing like a Nashville version of the Osmonds.

I grab a beer and sit on the steps where I am instantly hit on by...Jennifer Garner (I HAVE BEEN GARNERSEXUALED!!!) whose name is Grace or something (only I keep calling her Maddie????). So we start to kiss (o_O). It's hot. I hear someone clear their throat and look up to see the most beautiful man EVER (duh, Christian...whose name is Christian. I get that one right). He smiles, my heart stops, and Maddie...er, Grace giggles. She introduces me to her cousin...who she then snogs in a not-family way (talk about kissing cousins)! Then I notice the rest of the family kind of doing the same thing (to each other, not Christian) and I get flustered at that. Close much?

Christian looks at me like I am a buffet and he hasn't eaten in WEEKS, so he grabs my hand and drags me off to the basement. We make out LOTS, grinding our crotches together indecently. I uh...enjoy myself a little too much...only it's a weird kind of feeling. Christian then reaches into my pants and grabs my...cock. Oh, that's why it felt weird.

I freely admit to having REAL penis envy (as in I WANT ONE AND HATE IT SO BAD THAT I CAN'T HAVE ONE--not the "I wish Society would treat me with equality" way) but that was, to say the least, odd. Because, uh...well, if I HAD been a guy there would have been a mess when I woke up (which is what happened when I realized I was a guy in my dream).

Needless to say I've been sleeping a lot hoping to have another I Am A Guy Now dream. To no avail. *weeps*

I was in NY and Christian was my Rent!Boy fiance and I was in a competitive eating gang. Gang. As in "blood in, blood out." (WTF brain? Is that the best you can come up with?)

I also think I was his (latex-wearing female) pimp. I slapped him around a bit and kept all of his money but he loved me anyway and I worshiped his good looks and how rich he would make me. So, we get married (evidently. I didn't dream that, only the part of the reception where a rival gang member challenges me to an Eat Off so I have to scoff a one pound hamburger in 3 bites and then strike an OMG I AM NOT THAT BENDY kind of pose when I was done--yeah, that was part of the competition) and when I am carried upstairs by my gang for my wedding night, the door opens to Rent!Boy Christian turning a trick with a guy (who I think might have been Anderson Cooper). I don't get upset that he's DOING THAT, only that it was on THAT night--my night--in our Honeymoon Suite (the top floor of a condemned tenement, lit up with candles).

He tells me that the money was too good to turn down, that I'd have hurt him real bad if I found out he didn't do it, and in that instant I realize it's not about the money with him.

I wake up before we can make it up to each other, damnit.

Talk about weird dreams. Sheesh.

Second: I'm watching Sports Night now, and I think I am in love with Casey/Dan. Talk about slashy subtext. I need fic recs, please.

Ah, the power of cheese...

My sig has an unusual habit: DLing obscure or long-forgotten Sci-Fi from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Right now, he and the Narl are watching Solarbabies.

I have only one thing to say: BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Lukas Haas, Jason Patric, Jamie Gertz, PETER DELUISE and Adrian Pasdar in some of the most cheesetastic footage ever. Hee! Also, methinks JKR might have gotten the idea for Quiddich from the game these kids are playing.

Does anyone know if there is an ALL Adam Baldwin Mood Theme available?

I really want one, and if no one else has created it then I may have to make one myself. Of course, that will take a lot of work and I'd much rather share the effort (and CREDIT!) with a couple other Adamaniacs.

So, that being said...any of you want to team up with me on this?
I haz a kink...

...that, before today, I never realized affected me so much:

Watching really hot CO's yell at their underlings. Of course, the key word in that kink is "HOT." (Love R. Lee Ermy, but he can scream all he wants to and it won't do a damn thing for me.)

The sweatier and dirtier they are--so that their perfect white teeth gleam through the muck covering their faces; and their damp, golden blond hair picks up the shimmering highlights from the harsh glare of the sun--well, the better it is for me. Tight fitting cammos (ass! arms!!) and gorgeous blue eyes don't hurt either.

...

*sigh*

.....

*stares*

.......

What? I'm doing RESEARCH for future Animal Mother fics! I am, I swear. Yeah, of course I am staring at pretty menz as I do it. These pics/eps may be more than 20 years old, but this man's voice is still the same, if not deeper and even sexier now than it was back then.

Wanna know how *I* know? (you know you wanna)

Because the second he opened his mouth I realized it was Batman/Bruce Wayne from JLU (and about a bazillion other Batman incarnations). Kevin Conroy.

He's the voice for the new animated Batman project by Bruce Timm (who hand-picked Adam to play Superman/Clark Kent in Doomsday), too. YAY! \o/

Also, it does not escape me that the only page I could find with lots of pics of him IS WRITTEN IN GERMAN. I think that is a sign.

Edited to add: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Of COURSE I fall in love with a character and THAT's when he gets killed off. Did Joss--or RTD--write this? *weeps*

Edited to add v 2.0: Ok, this just keeps getting weirder. The next episode opens with a USO tour and a singer that looks REMARKABLY like Dylan Bruno (Damn, do I love me some big, strong, and RIDICULOUSLY smart man)...and it's written by JIM BEAVER. <strike>Hee!</strike>

Edited to add Strikes Back: OMFG IT IS *THAT JIM BEAVER*!!!!!!! Also, *jaw drop* am I the last person to realize that THIS is also the same guy who writes all those IMDb bios/reviews/edits?

Guess that should alleviate Christian's fears about telling Gregor he is...becoming/in the process of turning gay! (Seriously?
Naughty Meme

1) Ever been to a strip club?
Yes. A regular and a guys one. Girls give better lap dances.

2) Ever been to a bar?
Of course.

3) Ever been kicked out of a bar or a club?
Nope. Unless being told to GTFO 'cause they closed an hour ago counts.

4) Ever been so drunk you had to be carried out of somewhere?
Yes. More than once. *face/palm*

5) Kissed someone of the same sex?
Lots of times. Plus, when I am drunk, I become the kissing bandit. Anyone, anywhere. With tongue.

6) Thrown up from drinking too much?
Oh God, yes.

7) Had sex in a car?
Often.

8) Had sex at the beach?
Ow. Sand in bad place hurts. Salt water makes it hurt worse.

9) Had sex in a movie theater?
Yes. Well, it was at an adult superstore that had a theater.

10) Had sex in a bathroom?
My own bathroom? Yes. Public one...Uh, yeah to that one too. (Word of advice, if you're going to do this, chose the women's restroom. They are much cleaner.)

11) Had sex at work?
Oh god. *face/palm* Applebee's walk-in freezer.

12) Have you ever been in an "adult" store?
Several. I have memberships!

13) Bought something from an adult store?
Often. They should offer frequent shopper discounts.

14) Have you spent over $100.00 in one visit to the adult store?
Yes.

15) Is there anyone on your friends list you would ever consider having sex with?
Lots of them, based on their personalities alone. Of course, a couple might not swing that way (are guys & gay...or are girls and wouldn't dream of it).

16. There is no 16.

17. Have you been caught having sex?
Yes. The first time I had sex in the car. By the police. I didn't have my ID and he almost didn't buy that I wasn't underage (I wasn't)!! Of course, he also didn't let me put my shirt back on right away either, the perve.

18) Are your breasts real?
Alllllll Mine

19) Have you ever kissed a stranger?
See #5

20) Does anyone have naughty pics of you?
I'm surprised that they haven't surfaced on the web by now. Or that video. I'm also hoping that Playboy tosses test shots they don't use (Girls of the SEC).

Not tagging anyone.
NCIS *possible spoiler*

Per the Ausiello Report at TVGuide.com:

"There's another shake-up brewing over at NCIS, only this time it's happening on screen.

CBS and Paramount declined comment, but sources confirm to me exclusively that a major castmember — a series regular — is on the way out. And as tempted as I am to blab this person's identity, after much soul searching, I've decided that doing so would prove WTS (Way Too Spoilery). And here's why: The actor in question will exit the series in a dramatic fashion. I might even go so far as to call it a major freakin' twist, the repercussions of which will be felt well into next season and, perhaps, beyond.

One thing I feel reasonably comfortable letting you know is that the aforementioned twist does, in fact, occur this season — i.e., sometime between tomorrow night's post-strike return and the season finale in May."

Oh, God. Please Please Please Please Please DO NOT LET IT BE TONY!!!

Was Cassie really in NY or was this a "find yourself" episode like the one where Tony goes to check out the Uni? I mean, the note Adam left said "went out for snaps." We Americans say chips (which is actually french fries to them). So, that kind of makes me think that she really hadn't gone anywhere. IDK, it's all so convoluted.

Anywhoo...next week's ep looks interesting.

"Gary dreams about kissing someone so hard his mouth hurts. He dreams about kissing someone so soft his heart hurts, so long his neck hurts, so deep his throat hurts. Gary dreams about kissing someone so...completely that nothing hurts."

(So does Bug.)

--From The Velocity of Gary, starring Vincent D'Onofrio, Salma Hayek, and Thomas Jane.)

I just watched it again after having not seen it in a LONG TIME, and about died. 'Cause there was Ash (SPN)--dressed in drag--Ethan Hawk, and Olivia D'Abo. I ALWAYS thought that the L&O:CI characters Bobby (D'Onofrio) and Nicole (Olivia D'Abo) had a certain chemistry, and I totally forgot that she was in this with him.

Also, wicked hot kissing scenes between Gary (Jane) and Valentino (D'Onofrio) with lots of tongue.

Damn my flist...

I can't remember which one of you did it, which one of you evil enablers tempted me to go looking***...but I'll be damned if I haven't spent the last 3+ hours watching the Olli/Christian clips from VERBOTENE LIEBE. (The official site is in German.)

I hate you.

This is what Luke/Noah SHOULD BE. This is what Luke/Noah WISHES it could be. This is what we all hoped Luke/Noah WOULD be.

And I can't stop watching the most recent clip where Christian admits he loves Olli (yesterday's. I picked a good time to start watching, huh?). Anyway--that scene...OMFG. That kiss...*swoon* The touching and the caressing and the embrace and the the fingers and the lips and face holding and the undressing and the heavy breathing and the shaking hands that completely show us how terrified they both are of fucking it all up and the LOOKING at each other like they are really so very much in love and willing to risk everything for this.

Seriously, MAJOR kudos to the actors because they COMPLETELY commit to this performance. It is BY FAR the most romantic thing I have EVER, in my ENTIRE LIFE, watched. And that's saying something.

Alright...for those of you who have no idea what I am raving about, just watch.

But first, a bit of back story:

Olli (the one on the right, shorter, darker hair, gay) goes to the club with a girl *space* friend to try and take his mind off of Christian (on the left, taller, lighter hair, sexually confused at this point), who freaked out on him and has been an ass ever since they had sex.

Yes, I typed that right. They did it. Go go German daytime TV! Sadly, we don't see anything--just the awkward, "Uh, I should probably go now" half-naked walk of shame afterwards. *cringe* (Having horrible flashbacks now, kthnxbai!)

A few days later Christian said something along the lines of "you have to try everything once and it's just not for me" to explain why he's being so stand-offish (totally trying to cover up just how scared and confused and hopeless he is).

To prove to himself that he is completely straight, he decides to take a co-worker, this girl who has been hitting on him relentlessly and is obviously interested in screwing him, out on a date. She picks the venue. Guess where? Yep, the same club.

So, Olli has been dancing with some sleaze-ball who is only interested in fucking him and then fucking him over (Christian overheard him say this to the bartender), and when they all managed to end up in the same area of the dance floor, Christian shoves the asshole out of the way (after getting irritated at how he was groping Olli's ass, of course). The asshole and Christian almost fight, but Christian storms off. Ollie catches up to him and accuses Christian of being jealous...

(For those of you too impatient to sit through the whole thing, the good stuff starts at about 3:19 if you just want to skip ahead. But I WHOLE HEARTEDLY recommend you watch the entire clip--just try to overlook Olli's slightly scary, stalker-ish behavior outside Christian's door, 'K?)

<lj-embed id="2" />

*dies*

Could TPTB have picked a more perfect song for that scene, too? It was timed just so amazingly well, with the music completely fitting the action from the slow intro to the dramatic pause to the intense build-up. Gah! So damn beautiful!!

(In case anyone out there hasn't heard it before it's called Breathe Me by Sia. Let me know if I should upload and share it.)

ANYwhoo...just because I love it to death does NOT let you off the hook. Even if I can't remember, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, and you're in a heap of trouble. *stomp* Man, like I *NEED* another freaking fandom.

But really, the writers on ATWT ought to be tied to chairs and forced to watch this.

Edited to add: ***So, everyone can thank thelana for my newest obsession. It was her post about how Olli and Don Flack (from CSI: NY) could be brothers that got this started. I simply had to see what all the hoopla was about.

Um...huh? What was that again?

I fondly remember reading a whole slew of Little Golden Storybooks as a child, and when I saw a couple of them on sale at one of the thrift stores I quickly snatched them up (5 for a dollar).

Tonight, I read one to my son as a bed time story. It was called Tootle, and let me tell you, I am HORRIFIED.

See, Tootle was an engine that, despite the importance of Staying On The Track No Matter What being hammered into his head, LIKED to go off the rails. Liked frollicking in the fields and sniffing flowers and chasing butterflies and feeling FREE. But NOOOOOO. This is not allowed. Bill, the <strike>warden</strike> conductor enlists the aid of all the <strike>closed-minded oppressors</strike> people in the town to help him get Tootle back on track (pun intended).

Earlier, Tootle had learned the importance of immediately Stopping At A Red Flag Waving; knowing this has also been drilled into Tootle and that he knew (feared) the inevitable danger of NOT Stopping At A Red Flag Waving, Bill got all the humans to hide under bushes and behind trees and in the tall grass and flowers only to throw up their red flags whenever Tootle came their way, which caused him to grind to a halt and head off in another direction. After a while of this he had no where to turn; he got so frustrated. Finally, he noticed someone (Bill) holding a GREEN flag on the TRACKS and headed that way.

Once on the track he admitted that he had been wrong to venture elsewhere; that this was wear he belonged all along and because of his dedication he became the BEST Flyer from New York to Chicago.

Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot????? Seriously?

Yeah, let's teach our kids to conform. To fit whatever society says you should be/do and never, EVER step outside of those boundaries. Never dare to be different, or take the less apparent option in life...and that it is wrong to want something else. Wrong to stop and smell the flowers, roll in the grass, and chase butterflies. Wrong to have fun.

I cry BULLSHIT of the highest order. I don't burn books (THE HORROR!!), but if I did--THIS would certainly be one of them. As it is, I put it in the donation bin on my porch...and then quickly dug it out and hid it in the back of my closet. No point inflicting this rubbage on anyone else.

You can be damned sure that I will RE-read the rest of them before I sit down for story time with the Narl again.

And rather than stop reading it when I discovered the moral of the story, I finished the book and then told him that, although Tootle chose to get back on the tracks, it was mean and wrong for everyone to gang up on him like that. That fitting in is not always the right choice for EVERYONE. That people can make their own decisions [when they are older] and that just because someone wants you to grow up to do ONE thing, that you should never do it because THEY want you to. That he should do what makes him happy, that makes his life worthwhile.

I mean, really...just yesterday he chose to play dress up/house in the home center of his pre-k. He wore the Cinderella costume (incuding the clear, glittery plastic high heels), toted around a dark-skinned baby (that he fussed over for 10 minutes as he dressed her), and demanded that his best boy *space* friend play his husband. And then promptly handed the baby off to the stunned little tyke and took off with the grocery cart for the "store" because it was his "job to do all the shopping," pausing only to remind his "hubby" to change the baby's diaper.

Sure, other kids were laughing and staring and pointing and for more than a few minutes I honestly thought the teacher would reign him in because it was causing a disturbance to the class next door. But she didn't, thankfully (or else I'd have had WORDS with her). When one particularly vicious little boy said that he was stupid, that boys can't be mommies, can't have babies, can't wear dresses, and can't have husbands...my son pursed his lips, put his hands on his hips and then told them all, "Oh yes we can. We can wear anything we want, we can do whatever we want, and we can love whoever we want."

And went back to feeding the "baby," completely ignoring the rest of them (except the poor boy he made put the groceries away, change the baby--he forgot--"wash the dishes" and fold the clothes).

God, I LOVE my kid!!!!

Question for my Flist

I am hoping that one or more of you live in the LA area and can answer a couple of questions for me.

1) When people say, "I live in the Valley" they do mean the San Fernando Valley, right? If not, where are they referring to, specifically? 2) What congressional district(s) (national, not state) is that? 2a) Who is/are the House Rep(s)? 2b) When are they up for re-election? 2c) What party affiliations do they have?

Yes, there is a reason I want to know: I'm writing something and I am having a hard time getting the exact info I need to make it work (and what I have ferreted out is confusing/conflicting).

Any help would be greatly appreciated; even if you only know (or think you know) the answer to one of them, it will definitely help!

Thanks!

Moar TV

So, on Criminal Minds: did anyone notice that as Prentiss questioned the carnival manager about a clown make-up wearing, ax-wielding, double murderer...the sign behind her head was obscured so that all you could read was "GACY"? *snort* Not sure if that was on purpose, but it was an interesting touch.

Also, Morgan exclaiming, "No way!" and then storming off when AJ mentioned Garcia's new love. Uh oh, Xander better watch it. Big, black and beautiful is gonna open up a can o'whoop-ass on some 'puter geek.

Nick, Greg, AND Grissom...all sick at the same time? Oh, man. The slash just writes itself!

Kinda bummed that my girl Claire got eliminated on ANTM. *sniff* Oh well, guess that means I'll be pulling hard-core for Whitney. It's about time the plus-sized girls represented! (And kudos to the size-16 girl making it to the Miss Great Britain pageant!)

Still weeping for Ronnie. Runner up is good, but not good enough. *sigh* Don't think I won't be scouring the internet and magazines looking for his work from now until eternity...

Adoring Eli Stone more with every episode. I've always thought JLM was a hottie (Crash Override *drool*), and knew he could act his ass off (hello, Sick Boy?)...but this is a whole other thing. He's just so damn good. Of course, I never get tired of hearing Victor Garber sing, either. His man-crush on George Michael is still hilarious.

And is anyone as excited as I am about BSG <strike>tomorrow</strike> tonight? *bites nails* Still trying to decide who the final Cylon is. Care to speculate? (That probably means spoilers will abound in the comments, peeps. Just sayin'.)

I picked her from the beginning, so I should feel more happy about Holly winning Make Me A Supermodel. Meh.

I just fell too hard for Ronnie, who (if we're going by elimination order) was the runner up.

Mark my words: That boy will be the face of Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Abercrombie & Fitch.
