Central website to save Ties launched
A new website, http://www.savebloodties.org, was launched last week and is intended as a central resource for fans to work together and bring the show back for a second season.
“From my time in the Ties fandom I’ve seen that there are several great campaigns going on to help out charities and to help promote the show for renewal,” said site creator Kevin Bachelder. “However, all those groups/campaigns are spread out over several forums/lists/websites. So I created a single place where we can announce and help promote each of the campaigns from a single website to help increase the overall visibility of the show and give the fans one place to keep up on things.”
The new site includes daily updates and even a new podcast, “Bite Back – the Ties podcast”, devoted to celebrating the show and informing fans on how to save it from extinction. The site also gives fans the opportunity to show their support for the show on their personal websites with banners that can be linked back to the site.
So, to those of you on my flist who want more Blood Ties: Go. Check it out. Let our voices be heard.
As of yet there has been no DEFINITIVE cancellation--but we need to let the network (Lifetime) know we love Tanya and this series!
(Also, how much do I *LOVE* that the Firefly/Serenity podcast, The Signal, hosted a review of this show? Hee! When fandoms collide!)

Of course, I would have LOVED it if Tanya had hooked Mike & Henry up--at least for some quick sex!--but, I guess that is what fanfiction is for! Good thing she doesn't mind it! (Too bad she can't read it for fear of lawsuits and such, though.)
I can only DREAM that we'd get that in the show. The writers seem to have glossed over--or deliberately ignored--Henry's bi-sexualism.
It's a ton of fun to help expose folks in one fandom to another great TV show through the podcasts!
Thanks again and take care. :)
